Abstract

This research aims to explain the problem of Islamic fundamentalism and analyze the thoughts of Islamic fundamentalist figures, namely Abul A'la Al-Maududi, Hasan Al-Banna, and Taqiyuddin An-Nabhani about the ideal state. Qualitative methods are used in this research with data obtained through books, journals, scientific articles, and other related sources. The results showed that the ideal country according to the thoughts of Abul A'la Al-Maududi, Hasan Al-Banna, and Taqiyuddin An-Nabhani is a country based on Islam. These figures made Rasulullah when he founded the state of Medina until the time of Khulafaur Rasyidin as the reference for the ideal state. Because for them, at that time Islam was used as the main reference and foundation of life and could solve all problems, including problems in living as a state. These figures also reject the separation between religion and state (secularism), and agree to make sovereignty in God's hands. According to them, religion has an important role in the state. In addition, they also placed Ahlul Halli wal Aqdi  as an important part of an Islamic state. This research aims to explain the problem of Islamic fundamentalism and analyze the thoughts of Islamic fundamentalist figures, namely Abul A'la Al-Maududi, Hasan Al-Banna, and Taqiyuddin An-Nabhani about the ideal state. Abstract

PSEUDO DEMOCRACY: POLITICAL IMAGING WITHIN ISLAMIC FRAMEWORK AND IMPLICATIONS FOR GOOD GOVERNANCEIndonesia, as a Muslim-majority country, weaponizes Islam in politics to win over the voices of Muslims in the country. This method is not allowed to be implemented in Indonesia which adheres to a democratic system. Principally, political imaging is carried out in order to influence society by instilling opinions. Regardless of the purpose of imaging, gaining public trust is way more important rather than just having a good image. Public trust is gained through the credibility of the candidates. The said credibility is achieved when the candidates act in a way that is in line with what they said or promised. Candidates can apply political imagery through good governance to gain public trust without having to accentuate the image of the politicization of Islam. This article aims to see how political imaging should be carried out from an Islamic perspective. The method used to study the problems is qualitative. The result of this study shows that the plurality that exists in Indonesia requires special attention from the government to manage the political religions which can create controversy between religious communities. In order to build an essential democracy in Indonesia and avoid the presence of political power of religious identity in the political arena, every candidate must avoid identity involvement in the electoral arena as a way of avoiding the awakening of identity and its sentiment that occurs in Indonesia.

Abstract

Saudi Arabia and Iran: Ideological Contest and Its Impact in the Middle East Region after The Arab Spring. Tensions surround the Middle East region, especially between Saudi Arabia and Iran. The Sunni-Shia ideological factor contributed to the conflict in the region and also attracted these two countries. This research will answer the question how is the form of contestation of Sunni-Shia ideology represented by Saudi Arabia with Iran in the Middle East? What are the factors and impacts of the conflict between Saudi Arabia and Iran on countries in the region after the Arab Spring? The historical approach (historical analysis) was chosen to explain the two research questions above, using qualitative methods. Saudi Arabia and Iran represent both a Sunni-Shia ideological contestation, both of which try to support each other's ruling government, as well as conflicting oppositions based on ideological backgrounds. This support is carried out in the form of military assistance, weapons, or direct involvement which is marked by various statements that appear in the media. The disharmony of Saudi Arabia and Iran is driven by several factors, namely first, the Sunni-Shia ideological struggle between the two. Second, the claim to be the holder of the Islamic religion in each version. And third, oil. While the impact of this is political instability in the Middle East region after the Arab Spring, to the "cold war" involving Saudi Arabia and Iran.             .

A Kiai has a high position both socially and spiritually that affects the power of influence over society's choices. The writing was intended to analyze the travel process of hegemoni by Kiai as a sales figure for the golongan karya political party. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative through interviews and observations at the Darul Ma 'arif village Payaman Solokuro Lamongan. The hegemonic theory of Antonio gramsci was used as a basis for analysis. The final result is that the hegemoni sequence of Kiai is absorbed in two parts. Abstract

The debate about the democratic system in Islamic State has not ended. This is because there are Muslim groups that are inclusive in nature who do not want to accept all teachings or conceptions that come from the West, especially regarding the democratic system. This group is known as an Islamist group that applies the principles of formalization of sharia. However, in another spectrum there are Muslim groups who openly accept the democratic system originating from the West. Because for them the democratic and Islamic System are mutually compatible, there is no conflict. By using the library research method, this research wants to find answers to the confusion regarding the existing government system in an Islamic country or a country with a Muslim majority population. Because this government system is important in not changing the Islamic state. Changes that can compete with other countries in the West, which until now have not been able to stand side by side with Islamic countries regarding a good and well-ordered political system.

Abstract

Women's leadership has been a controversial issue in the contemporary history of several Muslim societies. Meanwhile, in relation to this, some scholars have permitted it as a form of social necessity in a modern context, most Muslim scholars have also refused because of its effect which is considered to be debilitating. Examples of women's leadership in general and as heads of Muslim states can be found in the context of the success of Benazir Bhutto in Pakistan, Khalida Zia and Sheikh Hasina in Bangladesh, Megawati Sukarnoputri in Indonesia, Atifete Jahjaga in Kosovo, Roza Otunbayeva in Kyrgyzstan, and Mame Madior Boye in Senegal. This issue is debatable because there is no clear direction regarding the leadership of the state and the high position of government which makes the problem divisive and full of conflict. Given the context, there is a need to analyze Muslim leadership in a contemporary context. This paper discusses the concept, brief history, the importance of women's leadership and analyzes the views of Islamic scholars within the scope of contemporary Islamic thought, which are based on the textual arguments of the Qur'an and Sunnah of Muslim scholars. This paper concludes that although a small portion of the entire Muslim spectrum tries to justify allowing women's leadership to develop social, economic and political perspectives, many Muslim scholars view it as a violation of God's commandments and, therefore, strictly preventing the appointment of women as both heads of state. high government officials.

Abstract

Fathu Makkah is a historical record of the glory of the Prophet Muhammad who proved the conquest without blood. Fathu Mecca is an authentic proof that general forgiveness or amnesty can be given to the people despite how wrong they were in the past. General Amnesty at the time of Fathu Mecca was proven when not a single blood was shed and unconditional forgiveness was given by the Prophet. The current general amnesty carried out by the international community is no more than a political decision wrapped in rhetoric of peace and humanity. Meanwhile, the Prophet's decision to amnesty was purely due to his humanity and love for peace. There are several points that can be studied at the Fathu Makkah amnesty, namely: Peace Diplomacy Before the Fathu Mecca Incident, Unconditional Forgiveness, Amnesty Fathu Makkah is Better than Amnesty International that Has Been There, The Humanism Attitude of the Prophet in the Fathu Mecca Amnesty
